From 1 April 2020 LKP is in charge of bicycle auctions that were previously held by the Technical administration at Lund municipality. Bicycles that have been taken care of but not claimed are reselled at these auctions a few times a year.

Note! In order to limit the spread of COVID-19, auction visitors are asked to follow preventive measures that are established by the Public Health Agency of Sweden:

  • Keep a distance of at least 1.5 m.
  • Stay at home if you have symptoms.
  • People over 70 years of age or considered clinically vulnerable are advised not to attend the auction.

At the auction

Visitors are welcome to view the bicycles 30 minutes before the auction begins. For your convenience, all bicycles are marked with numbers so you can easily identify your favourite object once the bidding starts.

Dates for upcoming auctions will be posted soon.

Location

Markentreprenad, Råbyvägen 33, inside the gates.

Payment

You can only pay by Swish. Please note that all bicycles are sold in their current condition.

The buyer’s security

LKP collects and registers illegally parked or abandoned bicycles. The list is also sent to the police. Bicycles that are not claimed within three months are passed on to Lund municipality and then sold at the auction or discarded.

When you buy a bicycle at the auction, you’ll get a receipt marked with a number. This number is added to the documentation of the particular bicycle, ensuring that you have purchased the bicycle through a legal process and that the original owners can no longer claim the bicycle.
